bakers' twine

Look for handmade designs using bakers' twine in my Etsy shop, which will launch very shortly!
Originally used to wrap paper around baked goods and tie up pastry boxes, bakers' twine has made quite the splash in the world of crafting and decor these days. Its simple, pretty and delicate nature adds whimsy and personality to a variety of projects. Bakers' twine is perfect for wrapping up kraft paper gifts, stringing mini garland, making bunting cake toppers and tying up gift tags. I'll even skip the wrapping process at times and simply tie up goods such as books or treats with the colorful twine. Perhaps the association of bakers' twine with baked goods and lovely pastry boxes evokes feelings of sweetness and nostalgia, or it's the texture and variety of colors and spools that make us giddy. Either way, I'm glad bakers' twine is here to stay.
