setting goals

It’s January 3, and I still feel like 2012 is going to be amazing. My horoscope even confirms it (yep, I’m a sucker for these things). We had a fabulous 2012 celebration with a group of our closest friends at our casa, and on January 2 (because we all know January 1 doesn’t really count after a super fun new year’s party…), my husband and I set our goals for the year. And without further ado, here are the Moulin’s 2012 resolutions:

·    Find the creative in everything. And spend more time in our new studio (to be revealed once it’s complete…I’m totally in love).
·    Cancel cable. We did this for almost a full year until baseball season and the Real Housewives of New York started back up. But we’re hoping to stick to it this time…
·    Be active. Somehow. My husband joined the gym, which is not really my style. Maybe I’ll dust off the ol' rollerblades?
·    Eat more wholesome, healthy, preservative-free foods. We really are healthy people, for the most part, but we would like to eat less pizza and more veggies.
·    Get pregnant. Pretty straightforward, I know. And not really something we can control. But we are keeping our fingers crossed for a little addition to the Moulin family.
·    Leave our stress at the workplace and make our home life a priority.
·    Live a more minimal, relaxed lifestyle. We hope to find the joy in everything and take in the fresh air once in a while. Oh, and did I mention we’re decluttering?

How about you? Did you write down your goals for the year? And do you usually stick to them? We wrote ours down in 2010 and were really successful, but we slipped in 2011, and we did not achieve what we had hoped. Maybe it’s completely psychological, but writing down your goals really seems to help. And I’m all about the power of positive thinking right now – can you tell? Happy New Year to you all!! And much luck in 2012.
